About my Dukes of Hazzard Soundboards

Boss Hogg married Lulu, Rosco's fat sister, so Rosco HAD to be loyal. I don't have a fat sister, but if I did, speaking metaphorically, The Dukes of Hazzard tv show would've married her. We're talking about devotion, folks. That's the only reason I saw this site to completion.

I was born in October of 1979 in Arkansas, and would've been 9 months old when the Dukes of Hazzard premiered on CBS in January. It would be a few years before I really got interested in the show as a kid, and by that time we're mainly talking about reruns and syndication.

Nevertheless, nothing can top being a kid in the south and watching that orange Dodge Charger evade and escape Rosco on those country dirt roads. My older brother had the original metal Dukes of Hazzard lunchbox. We had an orange snow sled with black 01 lettering on the side. We watched the The Dukes of Hazzard whenever and wherever it came on, regardless of how pathetic and predictable some of the storylines and plots were, and in spite of our parents complaining in agony.

Building a flash soundboard can be a lot of work, and can take some serious time. There aren't any places on the internet to find Dukes of Hazzard soundclips of any quality, so many hours were spent with the 1st season Dukes of Hazzard DVD that I rented from Blockbuster--ripping audio tracks and extracting what I wanted. The only thing that kept me from dropping the project was my interest in, and enjoyment of, the show, the car, and all the characters.

Ask me if I have any regrets. I dare you.
